Falling Kingdoms
Morgan Rhodes

"You're not just any girl; you're the princess. It's my sole duty now to protect you. So wherever you run off to, you can be certain of one very important thing."

She waited, her breath catching at the intense way the handsome young guard watched her. "And what's that?"

When he smiled, the look was equally menacing and enticing. "I will find you."

Top Ten Books/Authors I'm Thankful For

1. Erin Hunter.
Erin Hunter is actually a trio of authors that write my favorite series, Warriors. I am very dedicated to the series, even though it counts as Children's Fiction. I have all 24 books from the series, as well as the 4 Super Editions, which are extra books that are double the size of the main series. I am so happy that they are around and I am thankful that they keep writing.

2. Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.
Harry Potter is series that I can not fail to mention. The books mean so much to me. I feel as though I have grown up with Harry Potter and for me to not mention it would be a crime.

3. Maggie Stiefvater.
Maggie is a wonderful author with lots of series that I like. She hosts a variety of genres within her works, and I am thankful for that. When an author can write in a multitude of genres, that when I can really respect them.

4. Scott Westerfeld.
Scott must have an incredible imagination. With the books he has written, he would be hard pressed not to. Each series is incredibly unique!

5. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.
Though I have not actually read the last book in the series, I am thankful that it exists. All of the books (that I have read) are individual in the way that they remain with you. I have no idea why, but the series is just on you can not forget.

Black City
Elizabeth Richards

"Down the center of my chest is my scar, but it's no the eyesore I always thought it to be. Somehow it makes me look beautiful, powerful, like I'm a mighty warrior. I sit down, unable to take it all in. Is this how Ash really sees me?

I stare at the portrait, dumbfounded. And I swear, the more I study it, the more the painting seems to throb like the beat of an untamed heart."

Mystic City
Theo Lawrence

Slowly, he turns his palm upward. He's waiting for me to place my hand in his, but I'm scared. Then I look into his eyes and I feel it: Hunter's not going to cause me any pain. I hold my hand parallel to his, letting him know it's okay.
